The red flour beetle is about 1/8 inch long and brownish red. The antennae are short and close to the head. They are often found infesting grain and flour products, but may be seen walking in kitchen cabinets.

(Tribolium spp.) The eggs are laid in the flour or grain and the immature stages remain in the material. The adults may crawl or fly away from the site to infest other products. There are several generation per year, and they can continue to infest material.

Inspect all flour and grain products, discard what is infested. Empty cabinets or pantry and vacuum thoroughly, avoid using soap and water.
